The GALAXIA programme culminates its first edition by promoting STEM vocations in Bizkaia
Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa has participated in this initiative, which reinforces STEM orientation in schools through new resources and methodologies.
The GALAXIA programme has held its closing day, bringing to an end a first edition focused on promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) vocations among students in the 3rd and 4th year of ESO and on strengthening academic and professional guidance in schools in Bizkaia.
The initiative, promoted within the Bizkaia with the Talent strategy of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and coordinated by Innobasque, has had the collaboration of Mondragon University, the University of Deusto, HETEL, Ikaslan and the Berritzegunes.
Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa has contributed to the development of resources and methodologies aimed at bringing STEM professions closer to students and providing more complete guidance adapted to the needs of the future. The programme has made ready-to-apply activities available to schools in the classroom, self-knowledge tools and the possibility of connecting with professionals in the STEM field.
During the closing day, the results obtained in this first edition were presented and the good reception of the program in the participating centers was highlighted. Likewise, the desire to give continuity to the initiative in the coming years was evident, consolidating an orientation network that contributes to awakening interest in scientific-technological disciplines among the new generations.
