When we talk about myGADE we talk about academic learning, business experience and personal development. We understand that our accompaniment of students has to do with helping them to work on technical skills, but also to support them in their development as individuals through 7 personal traits that we have identified as required by the business professionals of the future (creative and transformative, analytical and prepared to tackle complex challenges, global outlook, leader of people and teams, conscious and committed, proactive and change-oriented, teamwork and networking). One of these personal traits is a global outlook.

Third-year students on their international experience in Costa Rica.

Throughout the four years of myGADE students live relevant and impacting international experiences; from weeks abroad where they visit companies and/or attend lectures by international experts, to longer stays where they carry out projects at their destination and even academic stays at universities in Europe, Asia and America, as well as the possibility of carrying out their Final Degree Project in an international company.

The objective of these international experiences is to acquire skills related to a global mindset. This year, around 560 students from the different myGADE courses have had international experiences.

myGADE first-year students at the Europarliament.

This year the first year students have traveled to Belgium, more specifically to Brussels, where they have had a first contact with another cultural and business reality together with other students from the rest of the campuses. Among other experiences/visits, they had the opportunity to visit the Europarliament to learn about the creation of the current European Union and the decision-making center.

Second year students in Portugal.

Second year students have traveled to different European destinations. Students from the Oñati campus have been in Prague (Anglo-American University), while those from Irun have been in Brussels and Leiria-Portugal (Politécnica de Leiria) has been the city visited by students from the Bilbo campus. They have had the opportunity to delve into the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and analyze how different companies from different sectors and countries are aligning their strategies to meet the goals set in terms of sustainability.

Second year students at the Polytechnic of Leiria.

Third year students have enjoyed a one-month multicultural group experience in different destinations aligned with the different specialties. These have been the destinations and the universities where they have been, as well as the specialties developed:

- Costa Rica --> Fundepos (Specialization in Digital Marketing).

- Mexico --> University of Mondragon Mexico + TEC Monterrey (Specialization in Talent)

- Ireland-Dublin --> Dublin Business School (Specialization in Data)

- New York --> The Business, Finance and Management School of New York (Specialization in Finance)

- India --> Chitkara University + Goa Institute of Management (Specialization in Internationalization)

Third year students during their international stay in India.

Next year all of them will have the opportunity to live an individual international experience in a foreign university in the fourth year. In addition, they will have the opportunity to develop their Final Degree Project abroad.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, USA, India, Japan, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, or European countries such as Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Hungary, are some of the destinations where the students will carry out their university stay. While the realization of the Final Degree Project can be in any destination as long as the company project requires it.

Garazi Galan, a myGADE student, completed her Final Project at Chung-Ang University in Korea.

How are the competencies related to a global mindset acquired throughout the 4 years of myGADE?

This is the formula that is developed throughout the myGADE courses with the objective of acquiring the competencies related to the "global mindset":

DISCOVER-BE-SHARE-LIVE = GLOBAL MINDSET

And how do we do it in each myGADE course?

myGADE1: DISCOVER

This first course will give you an exposure to the world and other cultural and business realities in order to gain an insight into the global economy and business diversity. You will travel for a week to a European destination together with other myGADE students from other campuses.

myGADE2: BE

In the second course you will develop your multicultural networking skills, analyzing and co-creating experiences and knowledge with students from other cultures through a challenge that will be worked on in a European destination.

myGADE3: SHARE

In the third year you will enjoy a multicultural group experience developing skills such as autonomy, personal organization, ingenuity, creativity and adaptability. During one month and in a destination outside Europe, you will develop challenges associated with your training itinerary (finance, digital marketing, internationalization, data, talent) together with myGADE colleagues from other campuses (Oñati, Bilbao, Irun).

myGADE4: LIVE

You will live an individual international experience in a foreign university, developing skills to achieve a flexible profile that allows you to adapt to changes and be able to solve problems. Willing to take risks, open to new challenges and looking for self-improvement. In addition, you will have the possibility to develop your Final Degree Project abroad.
