The BizHitzak project promoted by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences has joined in the International Day of the Basque Language, which is celebrated on December 3. Thus, to celebrate this day, various activities open to the public have been organized on the Eskoriatza and Bilbao AS Fabrik campuses.

In Eskoriatza, as part of the BizHitzak project, three creators from the Faculty participated in a performance entitled New Plots 2.0: Aintzane Usandizaga (literature), Unai Ormaetxea Jauregi (bertsolaritza) and Maddi Martin Olaskoaga (illustration). They gave two performances, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

At Bilbao AS Fabrik, on the other hand, they held a colloquium set to music by Idoia Asurmendi, Mikel Etxaburu and María Rivero. The events on this campus were organized by the student group Eraikiz, as part of the BizHitzak project.

In addition, and also in celebration of the International Day of the Basque Language, the Goienagusi association organized a talk in Arrasate with two professors from the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. In their talk, entitled Young people and Basque: linguistic choices and linguistic attitudes, professors Nekane Arratibel and Letizia García analyzed the linguistic choices and linguistic attitudes of undergraduate students in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education at Mondragon University. Thus, in their presentation they examined issues such as the main variables that influence the use of Basque by these young people, their attitudes toward Basque, and the main values that they attribute to Basque.
