The training session took place on July 16 and 18 as part of a pilot project in lifelong learning. The members of the Basotxo Retirees Association of Aretxabaleta participated in a session on continuing education.
Members of the Basotxo Retirees Association have participated in a training workshop organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University on the Aretxabaleta campus.
The workshop, aimed at seniors, was held on July 16 and 18, as part of a pilot project in lifelong learning. This is the second time that an initiative of this type has been carried out. In February, the Olazar Retirees Association participated in a workshop held on the Eskoriatza campus.
On this occasion, the first class meeting focused on the possibilities offered by the university as a space for continuing education, while the second was carried out under the title Social networks: digital resources to connect and understand the world.
Program for seniors
Mondragon University’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan includes a program for seniors. The main challenges are to become a faculty for lifelong learning and research, and to be an organization that responds to future contexts.
To achieve this objective, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences has designed a 60-year curriculum aimed at academic development and professionalization. This involves offering undergraduate training, prior life experiences and academic pathways.
