MONDRAGON GOI ESKOLA POLITEKNIKOA WILL OFFER A NEW HIGHER LEVEL TRAINING CYCLE IN RENEWABLE ENERGIES
From September 2026, the new degree will be offered in Arrasate and will be launched to respond to the needs of companies in the area.

The offer of Higher Level Vocational Training of Alto Deba will have a novelty from September 2026. Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa will launch the Advanced Technician of Renewable Energies.
With the aim of responding to this growing sector, 25 places will be offered in this programme, which will be offered in Basque. The two-year curriculum includes practical projects aligned with the real challenges and needs of companies, visits to companies, internships and participation in dual training, etc. It will also offer the possibility of doing an internship in a foreign company thanks to the HETEL and Erasmus + program.
In the words of Xabier Lizaur, engineering and facilities engineer at EKITERMIK, "renewable energies have acquired great prominence in recent years, it is a growing sector, in which we have a great need for qualified personnel". EKITERMIK is in charge of the design, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panel projects and the engineer points out that "This sector lacks its own qualified personnel and it is very common to see workers from other provinces working in the Basque Country."
Gorka Aretxaga, Vocational Training Coordinator at Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa, says the following: "We have been seeing a boom in this sector for years and we have taken the step, we are convinced that we are offering a new opportunity to young people in the valley to turn to a sector of high employability".
