In late September, the third meeting of the European TransferINN project took place in Ariège, France. Its objective was to reinforce the economic and social integration of the Spain-France-Andorra cross-border area by transferring existing knowledge in universities, training centres and technology centers for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs for the development of economic, social and environmental activities.

The main objective for the next 6 months is to start up the 4 working groups around which the project has been structured and to start establishing innovative projects with the companies. These four nodes have been organised on the following topics: Advanced Manufacturing – in which the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Uniberstitatea participates, alongside ESTA and Azaro Foundation for Agriculture, the Food Industry, and Tourism.

At the end of the project, all project partners will offer the innovation service to 150 companies in total.

The TRANSFERINN project is 65% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is part of the Interreg V-A Spain-France-Andorra program (POCTEFA 2014-2020).
