Two entrepreneurial projects from the LEINN degree at Mondragon Unibertsitatea have been selected to take part in the BIME Startup project showcase, thanks to the collaboration agreement between BIME and the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon Unibertsitatea to promote entrepreneurship in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) of the Basque Country.

As a result, the Mondragon Unibertsitatea teams SONDBOX (Irún) and Rename (Bilbao) will participate in the next edition of BIME, the international music industry gathering, which will be held from 27 to 30 October at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao. The event will bring together leading international stakeholders from the cultural and creative sectors.

The agreement, which both organisations have been developing for several months at Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria (BBF), aims to promote entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries by bringing LEINN students closer to one of the leading networking spaces for startups, companies, investors and industry professionals. The collaboration will make it possible to support, accelerate and provide visibility to entrepreneurial projects with growth potential and impact.

Thanks to the BIME Startup initiative, the two selected teams will have the opportunity to present their initiatives in the event's exhibition area and connect with international stakeholders from the cultural and creative industries ecosystem, thereby increasing the visibility and development opportunities of their entrepreneurial projects.

Specifically, the SONDBOX team is developing a project involving soundproof booths that can be used by emerging music and audiovisual projects, while the Rename team is developing a platform to support emerging artists by providing them with the ability to manage their finances independently.

Through this partnership, the Faculty of Business Studies at Mondragon Unibertsitatea reinforces its commitment to entrepreneurship as a tool for transformation and to the development of the cultural sector, a strategic field for the Basque Country. It also strengthens its collaboration with leading organisations such as BIME in order to offer LEINN entrepreneurs real opportunities to connect with the market, build partnerships and grow their projects.
