New call for applications to Doctoral programs at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences
Applications are now being accepted for research projects to be carried out within the Educational Innovation and Intervention doctoral program or the Advanced Management of Organizations and Social Economy program.
Mondragon University is now accepting applications for PhD studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. The aim of this call is that, beginning in the 2025/2026 academic year, successful applicants will work toward their doctorate in either the Educational Innovation and Intervention doctoral program or the Advanced Management of Organizations and Social Economy program, focusing on research in the field of education or cooperativism, respectively.
- Regarding educational innovation, research projects will be carried out in the following areas:
- Advanced methodology and strategies: interdisciplinarity, assessment, co-teaching, development of competencies, promotion of personal characteristics and soft skills, dual education...
- STE(A)M and digitalization: digital competence, digitalization plans, artificial intelligence in education, computational thinking, gamification, interdisciplinary STEM projects, didactics of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics...
- Languages at school: linguistic projects, language teaching, content area literacy, promotion of oral use, strategies to increase the use of Basque, sociolinguistics in educational institutions, integrated language curriculum, treatment of linguistic diversity, linguistic treatment for the education of newly arrived students...
- Education and community: interculturality, equality and equity, development of social cohesion, interculturality and the Basque language, school and community, educational villages, municipal participation in education, didactics of the human and social sciences...
- Healthy contexts in response to diversity: inclusion and foundations of the school for all, treatment of diversity, interstage transitions, inclusive spaces and contexts, strategies to promote student participation, learning service, emotional well-being…
Regarding the doctoral program in Advanced Management of Organizations and Social Economy, research proposals focused on cooperativism will be taken into account, in accordance with the work of the LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research.

The successful applicants will carry out their activity, which will be primarily aimed at completing the dissertation, under the Figure of Researchers in Training (Figura de Investigadores/as en Formación, FIF) program, so they will have a contract that will be extended annually up to a maximum of three years, provided that their evaluation is favorable.
This program aims to develop scientific knowledge through predoctoral contracts and the promotion of internationalization.
