From Design to Reality: Students Develop Their Own Helmets
The third-year students of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development have worked on the design of helmets, combining creativity, functionality and technical knowledge in a practical project.

Third-year students of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development at Mondragon Unibertsitatea have worked on the design of helmets, putting into practice the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their training.
The project presents students with the challenge of developing design proposals taking into account different aspects related to functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics and the needs of users. In this way, students have the opportunity to tackle a product design process in which they must combine creativity with technical criteria.
Creativity and engineering in the same project
The design of a helmet requires paying attention to different factors that go beyond its appearance. Comfort, adaptation to the user, materials and safety are some of the aspects that must be considered during the development process.
Through this exercise, third-year students can explore different design solutions, analyse alternatives and develop their own proposals, applying a comprehensive vision of the product.
Practice-based training
This type of project reflects Mondragon Unibertsitatea commitment to a practical learning methodology, in which students acquire knowledge and develop skills by solving challenges.
In addition to strengthening their technical skills, students work on skills such as creativity, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving, which are essential for their professional future in the field of industrial design.
