The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University has launched its Psychological Care Service (in Basque, Arreta Psikologikorako Zerbitzua, APZ). The purpose of the service, which is led by chartered professionals in psychology and psychotherapy, is to offer preventive support to Faculty students and staff. Regarding primary prevention, the service will offer different experiences aimed at healthy development in safe contexts. It aims to guarantee the well-being of students.

Regarding secondary prevention, the APZ would detect students who may be at risk and, if necessary after an assessment process, refer them to external professionals. In short, the main objective of this new project is prevention in the primary and secondary bio-psycho-social well-being of Faculty students and staff.

The service offers individualized attention that also includes group processes that will be carried out in the room assigned for that purpose on the Eskoriatza campus. In addition, APZ also aims to conduct research and offer counseling services in psychological care.
