Mondragon Unibertsitatea has celebrated the official opening of its 2023/2024 Academic Year at the Oñati campus of the Faculty of Business Studies.
 
After completing the 25th anniversary celebrations, the University is focusing on both the present and the near future, according to Vicente Atxa, Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the aim is to work to maximise the competitiveness of companies in the Basque Country through an efficient combination of research and transfer, the training of professionals and entrepreneurship.
 
The course was officially opened by the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and his speech was preceded by speeches by the Secretary General of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Idoia Peñacoba, who presented the academic report for the last academic year, and the lecturer and researcher from the Faculty of Business Studies at the same university, Sain Milena López Pérez. Also present were the Regional Minister of Education, Jokin Bildarratz, and the President of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Javier Oleaga, and other authorities from both the political and academic worlds, such as the President of the Parliament, Bakartxo Tejeria; the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendoza; the Government Delegate, Denis Itxaso; the Mayor of Oñati, Izaro Elorza; the President of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Javier Oleaga; and the President of MONDRAGON, Iñigo Ucín.
