The two researchers presented the books “Opiniones sobre tendencias sociales en Gipuzkoa” (“Opinions on social trends in Gipuzkoa”) and “La sociedad vasca en un mundo globalizado” (“Basque society in a globalized world”), produced as part of the Etorkizuna Orain program of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
Mondragon University researchers Andoni Eizagirre and Asier Baztan presented their two latest works on June 19. At an event held at Tabakalera in San Sebastian-Donostia, the Mondragon University researchers presented their books Opiniones sobre tendencias sociales en Gipuzkoa (Opinions on social trends in Gipuzkoa) and La sociedad vasca en un mundo globalizado (Basque society in a globalized world). These works, launched as part of the Etorkizuna Orain initiative of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and carried out by the Cooperativism and Social Innovation research group of Mondragon University, focus on the analysis of society.
Opiniones sobre tendencias sociales en Gipuzkoa
This work, led by Eizagirre, analyses the concerns, values and expectations of the people of Gipuzkoa. The main topics of the study are trust in institutions and people, the economy, the environment and climate change, the impact of immigration and multiculturalism, education priorities, and possible concerns about automation and artificial intelligence in the workplace.
La sociedad vasca en un mundo globalizado
In this work carried out jointly by Eizagirre and Baztan, on the other hand, the society of the Basque Autonomous Community gives its opinion on the political and economic situation, delving into the values and priorities that prevail in the different areas of society and into the institutional capacities that are present in those areas. This work is an analysis of the opinions, concerns and attitudes of the population of the Basque Autonomous Community in a constantly changing globalized world.
