The Amazon Apprentices programme, developed together with Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa, receives the 2026 Excellence in Vocational Training Award
The award recognises a Dual Vocational Training model that combines academic training with practical experience in the company and has already trained 138 students.
The Amazon Apprentices programme, in which Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa participates as a training centre, has been recognised with the 2026 Excellence in Vocational Training Award, awarded by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the CEOE Foundation. The jury highlighted the programme's ability to respond to the needs of the labour market through an innovative and high-quality Dual Vocational Training model.
Since its launch, the programme has allowed 138 students to train in specialities such as Industrial Mechatronics and Microcomputer Systems and Networks, combining the training given at Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa with professional experience in Amazon logistics centres.
The training model is based on close collaboration between the company and the educational centre, offering students the opportunity to develop technical and transversal skills in a real professional environment, while obtaining an official Vocational Training qualification.
In addition to Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa, the program has the collaboration of Xaloc Formación Profesional and the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain, entities that, together with Amazon, promote an initiative that has become a benchmark for Dual Vocational Training in Spain.
This recognition is an endorsement of the joint work carried out in recent years and highlights the importance of collaboration between the educational and business fields to train professionals prepared to face the challenges of industry and technological transformation.
