As of this year, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University will have been in existence for half a century. The Faculty has planned a year-long program of events related to its main areas and values.
The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences will celebrate its 50th anniversary in the 2025-2026 academic year since it was founded in 1976 as the Eskoriatza Teacher Training School. After a journey of half a century, the Faculty today offers five undergraduate programs and five Master’s programs in education, communication, culture and cooperativism, and also carries out research and transfer projects in those areas.
The Faculty is deeply rooted in the Basque Country and currently has campuses in Bilbao, Eskoriatza and Aretxabaleta. It is a benchmark in educational innovation, cooperativism, communication and the humanities, and is part of a wide social ecosystem that extends well beyond it and includes educational institutions, companies, public organizations, the media, social movements, etc. On the occasion of its anniversary, the Faculty has planned a program of events based on the areas in which it specializes.
Over these five decades, the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences has served over 10,000 students. Today the Faculty boasts a team of 170 professionals, as well as more than 1,700 students at different stages in their studies.

Beginning in October of 2025 and continuing through the end of the 2025-2026 academic year, dozens of events will be held on the campuses of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University and in the surrounding areas.
