Privacy statement for the 9th International Conference on New Business Models July 3-5 – Faculty of Engineering, Mondragon University

Your privacy is important to the Faculty of Engineering of Mondragon University (MGEP), and we therefore exercise caution in making use of your data. MGEP is the data controller for your personal data. This privacy statement sets out how MGEP safeguards your privacy.

This document specifically concerns the processing of personal data in the context of the International Conference on New Business Models, since MGEP is hosting the 9th edition at their Faculty of Engineering. Which personal data does MGEP process?

MGEP may process the following personal data in the context of the conference:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Affiliation
  • Institution which relates to the affiliation
  • Country of residence
  • Phone number
  • Scientific submissions

MGEP obtains these personal data directly from you, by signing up as a participant for this conference.

Purposes

MGEP processes your personal data only for communication about this conference and to register you as a participant of the conference. Your scientific submissions (abstract, short part, or paper) will be subject to a double-blind peer review process. Track chairs will coordinate the review process together with the conference chair. Once all submissions have been reviewed, participants will receive either an acceptance or a rejection letter for the conference, and will be able to proceed to complete the registration to the conference. The registration includes the data necessary for the determination of the fee, for invoicing and for payment. MGEP will not use your personal data for other purposes.

Legal grounds

MGEP processes most of your personal data in order to execute the contract between you and MGEP for your participation in the International Conference on New Business Models. By registering as a participant of the conference, you enter into a contract with MGEP to facilitate this conference. MGEP may also request your permission to process some personal data. In that case, the ground for processing is consent.

Retention periods

MGEP retains personal data no longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose of the data processing or to meet a legal obligation. Your personal data are deleted from our systems 60 days after the conference.

Third-party access

MGEP has taken measures to ensure that only those people involved in processing your data have access to them. Your personal data are not shared with third parties, with the exception of the party whose software we use for the conference administration and communication. MGEP has a written agreement with this external entity on the processing and security of personal data.
