Educational models based on training through theoretical exercises or the repetition of topics are being questioned more and more frequently, particularly in a situation in which there is unlimited access to content, and in which institutions are no longer the only, or even primary, sources of knowledge.

Given this paradigm shift, it is crucial to create professional profiles that are able to respond to new ways of thinking, learning and doing things, both in schools and in organizations.

Professionals in education are more necessary than ever, but not lecturers or instructors who simply maintain the same skills and functions that they have traditionally had.

In this new context, it is essential not only to change the roles and teaching strategies of those responsible for learning management, but also to implement those changes in all types of organizations and educational and professional contexts.

The Master’s Degree in Facilitation of Learning and Innovation (LIT) was created for the specific purpose of responding to the need to create and establish a new profession aimed at facilitating learning processes. The new skills of this professional profile include the ability to connect as a scholar with one’s peers, to provide support in the definition of individual and group learning objectives, to create a coherent work framework, and to produce methodologies, tools and contexts so that the desired type of learning can take place.
