Christmas is already here and with it for many holidays and how not the new year. We can spend these holidays in two ways, sitting on the couch at home tasting nougat or leading a healthy life moving day-to-day. What do you think is the best way to face this holiday and next year?

Think and reflect.

In the meantime, we leave you with the guidelines just published by the WHO (World Health Organization) to have an active lifestyle;

These recommendations are addressed to adults, so they are suitable for both university students and workers. Here you can see recommendations for all populations and ages.

WEEKLY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (adults)

It is recommended to perform Aerobic physical activity of moderate intensity at least 150-300 minutes per week; Walks, bike, race, swimming, mountain... or minimum high intensity aerobic physical activity 75-150 minutes per week; boxing, basketball, handball, soccer...

Performing exercises or strength activities to strengthen muscles at least twice a week will offer complementary health benefits; tonification exercises, yoga sessions, zumba, pilates, body zen…

HOW DOES PHYSICAL ACTIVITY HELP US?

There are many benefits that physical activity will generate in our organism and in our daily life, to which we will refer the most important.

Our health will increase, it will strengthen our immune system, we will feel better about ourselves and of course, it will help us prevent various diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, cancer, anxiety or depression ...

Therefore, our health is in our hands, as we have said, think and reflect and, of course, do not forget during these holidays, rest, disconnect, have fun and how not to MOVE.

From the sports service we wish you a healthy and active end of the year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
