University has appointed Nagore Ipiña as the new Dean of the Faculty. The new Dean holds a doctorate in Education and, among other responsibilities, has served as Director of KoLaborategia as well as Faculty Director of Research and Transfer. She has worked for the Faculty for eleven years.

Nagore Ipiña Larrañaga (Arrasate, 1983) holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a doctorate in Education. Her doctoral dissertation focused on new technologies and the development of a foreign language.

Ipiña has had a long career as a researcher. Her research areas include multilingualism, content and language integrated learning (CLIL), and the impact of digitalization on education.

Before being named Dean, Nagore Ipiña held various positions of responsibility in the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences: Coordinator of Online Degrees, Director of KoLaborategia, the laboratory of Education and Communication for the Digital Society, and, for the past year, Faculty Director of Research and Transfer. The new Dean speaks four languages: Basque, English, Spanish and French.

Nagore Ipiña will replace Begoña Pedrosa, who held the position of Dean of the Faculty for six years. Pedrosa is now Basque Government Deputy Minister of Education.
