Amezketan pelota player and Early Childhood Education student Jokin Altuna has won the 2018 Singles Handball Championship. Altuna won the finals against Aimar Olaizola with a score of 14-22. The final match was played on May 28 at the Bizkaia court in Bilbao.

Altuna, 22, is the current “Lau t’erdiko” champion, and today’s match was his first singles final.

Altuna is a student in the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences at Mondragon University, where he is currently in his second year of the online Early Childhood Education degree.
