The Specialist Diploma Program in Chief Learning Officer (CLO) will open for its second year on November 2. The purpose of the program is to train professionals to facilitate learning and innovation in companies and organizations. The program was codesigned by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences and TeamLabs.

The CLO diploma is aimed primarily at two groups of professionals. First, at professionals in the areas of Innovation, Human Resources, Talent and Training and representatives from third-sector businesses, start-ups and organizations. And second, at professionals from any discipline who wish to turn their career around and learn new experiences and methodologies related to the facilitation of learning and innovation.

The CLO program has an active, hybrid methodology, with both online elements and in-person meetings. The in-person aspects of the program will take the form of workshops, and you will have a companion facilitator throughout the process. In-person meetings will take place on Fridays and Saturdays in Bilbao (2 workshops) and Madrid (5 workshops).

It is becoming more and more necessary for companies to have a manager of facilitation of learning and innovation. A Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is a high-ranking employee responsible for leading processes of change, of digital transformation, of learning and of innovation in an uncertain and constantly changing environment. In the United States, many companies already have such a manager, and the role is becoming more and more important here, especially now, in addressing the Covid-19 situation. It is considered essential for a company to have an officer to oversee employee training and manage learning strategies for both employees and the company itself.

 

  

Cada día es más necesario que las empresas cuenten con un responsable de la facilitación del aprendizaje y la innovación, Chief Learning Officer –CLO-, un nuevo tipo de trabajador o trabajadora de alto rango encargado de liderar procesos de cambios, de transformación digital, aprendizaje e innovación en un entorno incierto y en cambio constante. En EEUU, una gran parte de las empresas ya cuenta con esta figura, y aquí este rol empieza a cobrar relevancia con la situación actual Covid-19 y el cambio forzoso en las dinámicas de trabajo, evolucionando desde el rol de responsable de formación hacia un perfil a cargo de liderar y facilitar el aprendizaje estratégico en las organizaciones.
