The successful programme of the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, which prepares project management professionals to obtain PMP® certification is again being taught in Mondragon starting next February, after several years being taught only in Bilbao.

The reasons why more and more people certified as PMP® are required are clear: it is demonstrated that that better business results can be achieved by applying the tools and organisational methods of PMBOK®, which are mastered by every person certified as PMP®.

  • 30% reduction in failed projects
  • 19% of projects delivered before the deadline
  • 25% of projects delivered below budget
  • 15% average savings in projects over total cost
  • 22% increase in productivity
  • 31% increase in customer satisfaction

In another of survey carried out by the “Centre for Business Practices”, companies with greater organisational maturity in project management are able to increase project performance, which means the delivery of their projects with a 34% improvement in deadlines, costs and quality compared to their competitors.

The study reveals that almost 78% of the companies studied are able to increase their level of maturity by applying reference methodologies of Project Management, such as PMBOK®.

In summary, the PMP® certification involves internalising a reference project management method, which helps professionals and companies to be more competitive and achieve better business results.
