The signing of the agreement took place at the Bilbao Arena, with the participation of Isabel Iturbe, President of Bilbao Basket, Aitor Lizartza, Academic Coordinator at Mondragon Unibertsitatea and MTA - Mondragon Team Academy, and Antonio Pipaón, co-founder of WATS.

This initiative, developed by three parties, is based on the need to increase training in the sports field through both university programs in which experts from the club will participate in different subjects such as business management, marketing and communicationstrategies or the internationalization model. In addition, this agreement includes a scholarship program aimed at the club's sportsmen and sportswomen as well as the people who carry out their professional activity in the club, as well as an internship program aimed at the participants of both programs.

This collaboration is a first starting point to be able to continue working on three sides in the promotion of the values of sport, the deepening in the professionalization and training of the sports sector, the awareness against sports violence and the development of future joint actions in the business, university and sports fields.
