Three teams of the LEINN degree (Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation), of Mondragon University, have achieved the first three prizes in the national final of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2019 (GSEA), of university entrepreneurs. The three award-winning teams are entrepreneurs in a team of the Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation (LEINN) of the Mondragon Team Academy network.

The winner of this edition was the KUVU project, represented by its co-founder, the canary, Eduardo Fierro. KUVU is: an online and offline shared hosting platform that connects young people with seniors who have space available in their homes and want to connect with young people. A technological project, scalable and with great social impact. The first prize includes a check for € 1,500 and the opportunity to defend Spain in the GSEA Global final, which will take place next April 14 in Macao (China). The young Canary will travel with all expenses paid and will participate with finalists from more than 50 countries on five continents. Eduardo is a team entrepreneur in the Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation of Mondragon Unibertsitatea.

The Abmama Catering project, represented by its co-founder, Ana Castello, has come in second place. This project is based on criteria of balanced and sustainable feeding. Ana's team is part of the Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation degree in Madrid (Teamlabs).

The third place was for the company O-Lay, represented by the Madrid-born Adrián González. O-Lay is in the process of homologation of its first fully customizable electric motorcycle. The Spaniard carries out the LEINN degree in his most international itinerary, and his team is formed by entrepreneurs from China, Egypt, Costa Rica, Armenia and Spain in a clear example of international collaboration as a result of globalization.

LEINN

LEINN is the only degree that exists internationally that brings together knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation, and that the Faculty of Business of Mondragon Unibertsitatea imparts since 2009. The formula of LEINN has worked with a resounding success, which has allowed the The degree has spread throughout the world through the 10 innovation laboratories, in eight of which LEINN develops.

Right now, there are 750 people who study LEINN in the eight cities where it is taught. Specifically, LEINN is taught in Irún, Oñati, Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Queretaro (Mexico) and Shanghai (China), with new initiatives underway.

MONDRAGON TEAM ACADEMY

MONDRAGON TEAM ACADEMY was born in 2008 as the entrepreneurship unit of the Faculty of Business Sciences of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. The MONDRAGON TEAM ACADEMY network works through the creation of entrepreneurship laboratories, where it collaborates with local partners. A decade after its creation, the international entrepreneurship network dedicated to training entrepreneurship and promoting it globally, is present on three continents and belongs to it 1,300 entrepreneurs from around the world. Since it was launched, this international network has trained young people from different backgrounds in the field of entrepreneurship through undergraduate (LEINN) and postgraduate training programs (MINN, TEAMINN and other programs) aimed, precisely, at boosting the spirit entrepreneur under the prism of teamwork and cooperative values.

In this time, MONDRAGON TEAM ACADEMY has spread to Europe, Asia and America. Today, the network is present in laboratories operating in Irún, Bilbao, Oñati, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Queretaro (Mexico), Seoul (Korea), Pune (India) and Shanghai (China).
