Until now, in the university context, there was no training in entrepreneurship aimed at the creative and cultural industries sector, where starting up their own business initiatives from day one was the main objective. That is the aim of LEINN that will start operating next fall in Berlin, which unites culture, creativity and entrepreneurship.

The proposal stems from the need of the Creative and Cultural Industries (ICC) sector to generate professional profiles that are part of the exponential growth of the sector.

Thus, LEINN, the university degree with a record employability where 97% of its students are working, reaches the world of art and culture to respond to these needs from a business perspective.

LEINN uses the Finnish learning methodology, based on "Team-entrepreneurship" and "Learning by Doing". This is the starting point of the Mondragon Unibertsitatea LEINN (Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation) project, which has been demonstrating its effectiveness for 12 years in the different Mondragon Team Academy (MTA) laboratories located around the world and which this time will be developed together with TZBZ and LAST TOUR from the MTA laboratory in Berlin.

The path in educational innovation goes one step further with the creation of this degree that will apply entrepreneurship to the cultural and creative industries in alliance with Last Tour, one of the most dynamic cultural agents in the country, known above all for its work as promoter of tours and music festivals such as Bilbao BBK Live and the BIME PRO congress, and one of the main revitalizing events in the sector at European level.

Throughout 4 years, and through team entrepreneurship and a method in which exams are replaced by practical criteria that reward the ability to create, reach and impact, the students will become entrepreneurs with real projects within the Cultural and Creative Industries sector.
The LEINN case is very striking and its spread around the world is an unusual phenomenon in the academic-university environment. An international development that very few titles offer and that is making the germ of team entrepreneurship spread throughout the world. 97% of the graduate students have a job at the end of their studies, 56% have created or are creating their own startup and 41% of those who are in existing companies are developing intrapreneurship or innovation projects.
Registration is now open and information can be requested at www.mondragon.edu/leinn (LEINN Berlin Open House Days) or www.leinnarts.com. The course begins in Berlin in September 2020. The degree lasts 4 years, where international stays will be made in Berlin, Bilbao, Bogotá, Seoul-Shanghai and New York.

The potential of Creative Industries
The Creative and Cultural Industries (ICC) are undoubtedly a strategic and growing sector in the world. In recent years, numerous statistics have proven the growing relevance of this sector and its impact on the development of the economy and the revitalization of cities. The creative economy contributes 6.1% to world GDP (576 billion euros) and 3.3% to state GDP. Berlin is the European benchmark city in these industries with a contribution of 12.3% to GDP.
The creative economy proposes clean, ecological and sustainable economic models. For this reason, countries have long been implementing programs of this type to activate, extract and retain their creative talent and make profitable this creativity. The result is an inexhaustible source of development, growth, competitiveness, differentiation and added value in both traditional activities and cultural technology-based activities.

For this reason, Mondragon University through its international entrepreneurship network Mondragon Team Academy (made up of 2,400 entrepreneurs from all over the world and dedicated to training undergraduate and postgraduate in entrepreneurship and promoting it globally), will launch together with TZBZ and LAST TOUR from September in Berlin the LEINN Degree in creative industries specifically aimed at the creative and cultural industry. The objective is to form teams of entrepreneurs in the field of Creative Arts and Cultural Industries.

It is aimed at those who are looking to be the next entrepreneurs in the creative industries and creative changemakers. This learning process will equip them with the entrepreneurial knowledge and creative and entrepreneurial force necessary to generate their own professional opportunities and lead successful projects and businesses.
