Mondragon Team Academy has been invited by the High Commissioner of Spain to participate in the Entrepreneurial Nation Summit to be hosted by the Spanish pavilion in Dubai
That the entrepreneurship model of Mondragon Team Academy - Mondragon Unibertsitatea has crossed borders and has become a unique example of international export among universities, thanks to the implementation of entrepreneurship labs in Mexico, China, South Korea and Germany, is a fact. The university's participation in the events programmed by the Spanish High Commission at the Dubai World Expo is a qualitative leap that demonstrates its leadership and the success of Mondragon Unibertsitatea's 'learning by doing' entrepreneurship model. The university will present its training model at the Spain Entrepreneurial Nation Summit, which is being held this Thursday and Friday at the Spain Pavilion of the Dubai Expo.
The entrepreneurship summit will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week. Specifically, the participation of Mondragon Team Academy - Mondragon Unibertsitatea will take place on Thursday at 12:30 pm and the speaker will be Aitor Lizartza Martin, one of the founders of the international entrepreneurship network of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Mondragon Team Academy (dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship through various innovative undergraduate and graduate training programs), and coordinator of entrepreneurship MTA in the Faculty of Business of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. He will be in charge of explaining the 'learning by doing' entrepreneurship model of Mondragon Team Academy - Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the university, the role of the team-coach (former professors/teachers who have given way to team coaches), to promote entrepreneurial talent among students (entrepreneurs) and about innovation applied to this training model.
LEINN, a success story
The model of the Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation, LEINN, is at the heart of this successful model. The LEINN effect is very striking and its spread around the world is an unusual phenomenon in academia. Thirteen years after its launch, more than 200 young people from all over the world have been trained in the only degree that exists internationally that brings together knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation, the Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation, LEINN, which the Business School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea has been offering since 2009.
The LEINN formula has worked with resounding success, which has allowed the degree to spread around the world through the 10 innovation laboratories (in eight of which LEINN is developed) that Mondragon Unibertsitatea has spread throughout Europe, America and Asia. It is a perfect example of innovation applied to training. A degree based on the methodology 'learning by doing' in teams, where students set their learning path with a team coach (the former teacher, who now assumes the role of teamcoach), who helps them to solve their doubts and where from the first day they have to create a real company, with real customers, real products and services and with real income. The international community of Mondragon Team Academy is made up of more than 3,000 entrepreneurs, with more than 120 team companies created in LEINN.
Expo Dubai and Spain Entrepreneurial Nation Summit
Under the umbrella theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", Expo Dubai is the first major post-COVID global meeting point to discuss building a better world and a better future.
For 6 months and in person, representatives from more than 190 countries will meet in Dubai until March 31 to reflect on the future of the planet. The Spain Entrepreneurial Nation Summit will be held on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 February, one day after the celebration of Spain Day at Expo Dubai.
The aim of the Spain Entrepreneurial Nation Summit is to create an environment within the universal exposition that allows Spain to develop a country brand firmly rooted in the commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation as drivers of economic and social development. To this end, an agenda has been designed that puts at the center those Spanish companies and transformative projects that best represent the country's commitment and that, in addition, can benefit from sharing their vision in a strategic environment and opportunity such as a universal exposition and the United Arab Emirates. In fact, more and more companies are looking to this country to develop their business and attract investment, given that it is emerging as a meeting point for the United Arab Emirates.
