As part of the collaboration protocol signed by the Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Malaga City Council to promote the city as an urban ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, Mondragon Unibertsitatea together with TeamLabs, its learning laboratory, and the multinational technology company Sngular have organized the next March 31 and April 1 the first youth entrepreneurship hackathon "Atrévete". It will be held at the Automobile and Fashion Museum, in Tabacalera, and will be supported by the Consistory and Promálaga.

Participating teams, formed by high school students, FP, university students and recent graduates, can register for free until March 30 on the official website. The young people from Malaga will work on innovative ideas based on challenges proposed by real companies, together with young people from the LEINN degree (Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation) of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. In this first edition, the companies that will participate in the hackathon are Besoccer, an application from Malaga that is in the top 3 worldwide in soccer results applications; Allmyhomes, a technological service platform for real estate sales based on data; and Proyecto 675, an initiative promoted by the former Unicaja player and world champion with Spain, Berni Rodríguez, and the former NBA player José Manuel Calderón. Through Proyecto 675, they seek to promote equality, integration and insertion with basketball and its values as the main tool, supporting the most disadvantaged sports sectors and participating in solidarity actions.

The winning teams of the "Atrévete" hackathon will receive economic prizes. In the case of the winners, they will receive 1,000 euros, the runners-up will receive 500 euros and, finally, the third place winners will receive 300 euros. The prize-giving ceremony, to be held on the afternoon of April 1, will be attended by José Manuel Calderón and representatives of the different companies.

Mondragon Unibertsitatea has become a benchmark in the area of entrepreneurship. One of its hallmarks in entrepreneurial education is the Official Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation (LEINN), which is carried out together with TeamLabs in Madrid and Barcelona and, from next September, in Malaga. Thanks to the protocol signed with the City Council of Malaga, the basis is thus laid to promote a pioneering project of learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Currently, after 13 years since the beginning of the LEINN degree, the Mondragon Unibertsitatea has an international community of more than 3000 entrepreneurs, with more than 120 companies of teams created in LEINN and laboratories in Irun, Oñati, Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Berlin (Germany), Puebla (Mexico), Seoul (South Korea) and Shanghai (China).
