Last Saturday the second edition of the Postgraduate in Sports Innovation started, taught by Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Mondragon Team Academy and WATS Team at the Business Faculty in Bilbao. A total of 15 people enrolled between the ages of 22 and 45 form what will be the second promotion of this postgraduate training, pioneer in Euskadi, which is taught on Fridays and Saturdays.

The first session was given by Jose Mari Luzarraga, co-founder of Mondragon Team Academy, focused on the importance of innovation in the field of education. Participants were immersed in the Finnish methodology "team learning by creating" and the emergence of the Degree in LEINN as an example of innovation in the field of training. In addition, they had the opportunity to tour the facilities of the Business Faculty and meet members of the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and startups based in Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria.

The Postgraduate in Sports Innovation is aimed at professionals in the field of sport to acquire the necessary skills to understand and develop business in the sports business sector, as well as team management; being able to create and manage entities that are framed in this ecosystem.

Between October and April, our and our participants will be trained in areas such as "Learning in sports teams", "Innovation and business management", "Leadership in teams", "Marketing and Communication" and "Learning skills and values". In addition, as a final postgraduate project, they must create a real business project with the objective of implementing it in the sports business market, for which they will receive tutoring and follow-up by the different professionals who teach the postgraduate course.

The teaching staff of the Postgraduate in Sports Innovation is composed of top-level sports professionals, some of them with an outstanding elite sports career such as Julen Guerrero or Xabi Prieto. In addition, it has other recognized figures linked to sports such as Patricia Ramírez or Jero García. Together with them, experts from Mondragon Unibertsitatea and professionals from fields such as business strategy, finance, communication or marketing make up the multidisciplinary staff of the team of people who provide the training.
