This competition consists of different phases. The first will take place in the Dock bar located in the BBF on 14 June starting at 17.00h where dialogues will be created between artists and people who share the Bilbao-Bizkaia ecosystem. This will be followed by a period of  15 days to send proposals and on the 15th July a jury, made up of people related to art and entrepreneurship in Bizkaia, will select 3 finalist artworks. This will lead to the final phase where the BBF community will decide the winning idea from among the 3 finalists before August.

The winner(s) of the competition will have their idea printed on one of the walls of the BBF's innovation street where it will remain for a year, adding their name and surname to the image together with a QR code that will go to the link indicated by the artist. As such, anyone visiting the BBF will be able to see the winner's work. The prize consists of 1,000 euros plus the materials to produce the artwork. The rules can be found at the following link where the registration form is included.

With this project, the idea is to bring art closer to the general entrepreneurial ecosystem and at the same time build an open street where any entrepreneur from any discipline can find a place to connect and cooperate. This competition and open street of innovation is part of Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria (BBF). This is a pioneering project for learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, promoted and managed by Mondragon Unibertsitatea, in collaboration with Bilbao City Council. This wall and open street join the different shared spaces in the BBF: Dock Bar, a meeting point for people to meet; Ágora Plaza, a place for events to share; the Makery, the workshop for prototyping and the Market Plaza where different entrepreneurs share open space.

Currently, more than 1,500 people pass through this street every year, from more than 30 countries from 4 continents. In addition, the building is home to around 500 people who collaborate in the creation of more than 60 events a year that mobilise another 1,300 people. Among the inhabitants is precisely the BDCC.  The BDCC (Basque District of Culture & Creativity) is located in the innovation ecosystem of the BBF, a space that offers us the possibility to train and assist companies and professionals in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) to be more competitive and to support them in their processes of entrepreneurship, innovation and improvement of competitiveness. GAIA coordinates, together with the Basque Government, the deployment of the BDCC with the aim of accompanying the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) of the Basque Country. The BDCC was created to address the transversal challenges of the sector, such as improving visibility, international positioning, the articulation of the sector itself and raising awareness of the importance and potential of CCIs in other sectors and industries.
