LEARNING BASED ON REAL PROJECTS FOR ENGINEERING PHYSICS APPLIED TO INDUSTRY

During your time at the university, you will be supported by a teaching team that is highly committed to your education, who will accompany you in your learning process and help you to grow as a person and as a professional.

In addition to acquiring the necessary knowledge to dedicate to the profession, in the Degree in Engineering Physics Applied to Industry you will carry out PBL projects (Project Based Learning) every semester, in which you will apply the knowledge previously acquired to real problems. PBL projects are a way of learning by doing, in which you and your team will face a motivating challenge that you will have to solve by researching, designing and creating a solution or a prototype. PBL projects will help you develop transversal skills: teamwork, time management and decision making, oral and written communication, critical thinking, creativity, leadership, etc. In addition, PBL projects will help you connect what you learn with the real world and give meaning and utility to your knowledge.

Example: in the video you can see the second semester PBL project "Development of an electric generator coupled to a bicycle roller for battery recharging and hydrogen production applications". In this project, each team of students builds its own electric generator by applying the concepts of electromagnetism learnt in General Physics II course and attaches it to a bicycle roller using the skills acquired in Graphic Expression. From there, they generate hydrogen by electrolysis of water (Chemistry subject), analyse the efficiency of the system (Calculus II subject) and evaluate the viability of producing this product industrially (Economics and Business subject).
