LEARNING BASED ON REAL PROJECTS IN THE BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN GLOBAL DIGITAL HUMANITIES (HDG)

Univercity: the city as a classroom

At Global Digital Humanities, we firmly believe that the classroom is not the only learning space. For this reason, and through the development of the UniverCity concept, we have turned the city of Bilbao into a learning space.

The degree looks beyond the walls of the campus: thanks to this project, we will transform the city of Bilbao into a classroom. Forget about traditional classes: you can learn in the city and together with it, conducting research based on real challenges and needs, co-creating possible alternatives together with social agents, and prototyping and testing solutions.

You will have the opportunity to learn about the city and the territory, without exams or master classes: you will immerse yourself in real projects carried out with institutions and companies starting in your first year of study; in these projects, you will respond to challenges posed by entities such as Bilbao Ekintza or Arantzazulab. In addition, you will be able to do internships starting in your second year of study.

Our learning model: Mendeberri 2025

Mendeberri 2025 is Mondragon University’s educational model that contributes to the development of the person through action, using various resources to establish and maintain contact with the world that we want to know and to decide how to participate in it throughout our lives. Mendeberri 2025 is an innovative model, based on skills and supported by a variety of methodologies.

By working on cross-curricular competences, you will not only acquire technical skills and gain knowledge, but also learn to determine how to function in different situations, to carry out initiatives and to develop self-awareness.

LEARNING BASED ON A VARIETY OF METHODOLOGIES

You will be the focal point and the heart of your own learning, for which purpose you will work using the following methodologies: simulation of real situations in all subjects; project-based learning, problem-solving, casework; internships; research.
