This year a total of 15 Final Degree Projects (FDPs) were completed by fourth-year students in Audiovisual Communication in a number of formats: communication plans, documentaries, web series, research, multimedia products, and a number of other audiovisual works. Furthermore, all projects were designed to respond to real needs identified by participating organizations.

These FDPs were created for the following organizations, among others: Basque Radio, Garabide, the Bilbao City Council, the AZK communication agency, Tabakalera, Aita Menni, and the San Benito School.
In order to carry out these projects, students were mentored by tutors both from the organization in question and from the university. Additionally, students were provided throughout the academic year with special training on topics such design thinking, conducting academic research, and creating effective presentations.

KIMU BERRI PRIZES
As in past years, the Kimu Berri Prizes were awarded on the same day on which the FDPs were presented. This year, the event took place on June 8 on the Aretxabaleta campus. The three winning groups were:

First Prize
Students Naomí Perez, Irene Torregrosa, and Danel Goikoetxea produced a web series aimed at young people to be used as part of Mondragon University’s advertising campaign. In addition to academic information, part of the FDP was a set of three short sections in which Mondragon University students shared their experiences.
