Three experts will take part in the conference entitled “Journey to silence: reflections on the keys to full human development,” which will take place on the Eskoriatza campus.

The following experts will participate in the conference Journey to silence: reflections on the keys to full human development, which will take place on May 25: Halil Bárcena (specialist in Islamism and Sufism, director of the Barcelona Sufi Studies Institute, Doctor of Arabic Philology, liaison with a number of Catalan and Turkish universities), Teresa Guardans (Linguist and Doctor of Humanities, CETR Center for Traditions of Knowledge instructor and researcher), and María Toscano (Doctor of Philosophy, former holder of the Isabel the Catholic professorship, instructor at Comillas Pontifical University).

The organizers of the conference propose the following objectives:

  1. To bring together contributions of traditions of knowledge
  2. To reflect on the importance of interiority in human development
  3. To analyze the socio-political function of fostering silence
  4. To determine the value of fostering the watchful eye

The conference is open to the public but in order to take part, interested parties should register before May 21.
