On May 7 and 8, 26 representatives from Escoles FEDAC of Catalonia will visit the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences to participate in the Specialist Diploma Program in New Roles for Learning in Education (ROL). The purpose of the trip is to receive training and become familiar in situ with model schools in the Basque Country in order to improve the prototypes of the innovation projects that they carry out in the course.

Indeed, the FEDAC representatives are already creating prototypes of the educational innovation projects that they will later launch in their own schools. With this visit, they will be able to improve their prototypes, for which purpose they will carry out a number of different activities, including visiting various Basque educational centers that are leaders in innovation.

Five tours have been organized, through which the participants will become acquainted with the following schools: Amaraberri Eskola Publikoa, Larrun Lizeoa, Arizmendi Ikastola, Laskorain Ikastola, Herrikide Ikastetxea, Zumaiena Ikastetxea, Aranzadi Ikastola and Miguel Altuna Lanbide Heziketako Zentroa.

In addition to the visits, the participants will hold a work session on the Eskoriatza campus in which they will present their prototypes and receive feedback from experts in educational innovation from different educational institutions.

The Specialist Diploma Program in New Roles for Learning in Education (ROL) is taught in the hybrid format and lasts one year. Throughout the year, there will be various in-person workshops, and the rest of the course content will be offered online. The meetings on May 7 and 8 are intended to be complementary to the course.

The course is aimed at schools that intend to train professional profiles to be able to facilitate and guide learning at their school. This novel diploma is jointly organized by Mondragon University and the TeamLabs learning laboratory.
