All is ready for the 14th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival, which will take place March 17 and 18

A total of 21 short films were selected this year. The festival will also be streamed.

On March 17 and 18, the 14th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival will be held at the Arkupe Cultural Center in Aretxabaleta. The festival can be attended two different ways: at the theater (limited seating) or via streaming. The broadcast of the festival can be found at: https://www.Twitch.tv/huhezinema.

A total of 21 short films were selected this year. The official panel of judges consisted of professionals Erika Olaizola, Arantza Santesteban, Aizpea Goenaga and Irati Crespo.

The Huhezinema film festival is organized by 4th-year Audiovisual Communication students at Mondragon University.

Wednesday, March 17

  • 10:00-1:00. Masterclass: dubbing and casting. Binahi casting agency.
  • 3:00-3:30. Talk by the creators of short film Begia Begi Trik.
  • 3:30-4:30. Screening of short films, MU section.
  • 4:30-5:00. Break.
  • 5:00-6:30. Screening of short films, MU section.

Thursday, March 18

  • 11:00-12:30. Masterclass: first website in Basque for IXA mobiles.
  • 3:00-4:30. Screening of short films, Official Selection.
  • 4:30-5:00. Break.
  • 5:00-6:30. Screening of short films, Official Selection.
  • 6:30-7:00. Break.
  • 7:00-8:00. Awards ceremony.
