On December 18, a book entitled New Map of an Innovation Process: The Transformation Model. Influencing the Training of Future Teachers (original title in Basque: Berrikuntza prozesu baten map berria: eraldaketaren eredua. Etorkizuneko irakasleen formazioan eragiten) was presented at Mondragon University’s Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. Faculty teachers and researchers Ainara Imaz and Nagore Ipiña, who edited the work, and illustrator Helena Azkarragaurizar took part in the presentation, which was held on the Eskoriatza campus.

The main purpose of the book, which was written in Basque, is to share the collective educational transformation experience of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. Thus, the work captures the most essential keys of the new educational model launched in the Faculty as well as the most important aspects on which this transformative process was based.

In the book, editors Ainara Imaz and Nagore Ipiña reflect on the professional and personal profile of future teachers, and on what new educational models and new ways of working should be like. They believe that a sea change is needed in the professional and personal training of educators in both Early Child Education and Primary Education. The book examines all these aspects and describes the educational model implemented in the Faculty itself.

The aim of the innovative educational model described in the book and promoted by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences is both to offer comprehensive and quality training and also to improve the training of future generations so that they will be able to meet the challenges of education in the 21st century.
