School, stage and process innovation

SCHOOL, STAGE AND PROCESS INNOVATION

INNOVATION IN SECONDARY EDUCATION PROCESSES

Taking Heziberri 2020 as a starting point, we analyze and work on the key aspects raised by the pedagogical framework of this initiative. Thus, we specify the student exit profile and refine the requirements of the competency model, adapted to the needs and specific situation of the school. The main topics are the following: sharing the meaning and sequence of competences, studying the methodological options for working on and developing those competences — and, if possible, designing, implementing and examining them — and studying new perspectives on evaluation in detail. To achieve this, it is often necessary to redefine the roles of students and teachers.

INNOVATION IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING

In educational centers we work on and study in detail the most important aspects of the ETHAZI model, which was developed in recent years in vocational training in the Basque Autonomous Community. The objective of the proposals that are worked on following the core aspects of this model – Collaborative Challenge-Based Learning – is to develop technical and cross-curricular competences. The keys to achieving this and to refining, improving and disseminating the model are challenges among reference models in the world of work, the adaptability and organization of space and time, and the self-management of teams of teachers using evaluation as a tool for the progression of student development.
