WHY DID WE CREATE THE SERVICE?

The well-being of our students is the foundation for them to be able to respond appropriately to responsibilities such as that demanded by their future profession. Throughout our lives we all experience difficult times, internal conflicts and unease. Situations that often prevent us from experiencing our activities (studies, relationships, work ...) with internal serenity. The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences believes that it is necessary to provide support at such times and that is why we have launched a new service: the Psychological Care Service (APZ).

PURPOSE OF THE SERVICE

The service will be preventive. Regarding primary prevention, the service will offer different programs aimed at achieving healthy development in safe contexts in order to guarantee the well-being of our students through an accompaniment process.

With respect to secondary prevention, the service would detect students who may be at risk and, if necessary after an assessment process, would refer them to professionals outside the APZ. In short, the primary objective of the APZ will be to provide preventive services related to bio-psycho-social well-being for Faculty students and staff.

The service also aims to develop research and advising in this area.
