The one-year Master’s degree will begin in February 2020 and will train professionals to deal with the risks associated with industrial cybersecurity

Mondragon Unibertsitatea and PwC have implemented a Master’s Degree in Industrial Cybersecurity in Bilbao. The programme, with a duration of one year (1,500 hours), aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and competencies to manage and deal with the risks associated with industrial cybersecurity, with special attention to the industrial sectors of electricity, oil & gas, and transportation, as well as the automotive sector. The Master’s Degree will be taught starting in February at Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria.

The Master in Industrial Cybersecurity is aimed at professionals in technology and industrial processes who wish to specialise in the treatment of cybersecurity risks in industrial environments, as well as recent graduates who want to orient their career towards this emerging sector.  The graduate course is structured in four modules, plus the End-of-Master’s project. Active professionals will have the opportunity to develop an implementation project in their company, supervised by an expert in the field of industrial cybersecurity, and those who have recently completed their studies will have the possibility of doing paid internships in a number of partner companies from the beginning of the Master’s degree.  

The team of professors is composed of research professors from the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, PwC cybersecurity professionals and renowned external collaborators in the field of industrial cybersecurity. 

At the end of the training programme, the participants will obtain the diploma of the Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity by Mondragon Unibertsitatea and will be trained to develop their professional work in the following areas: head of cybersecurity, director of cybersecurity projects, security technician, OT cybersecurity consultant, OT cybersecurity auditor, and security analyst.
