MathWorks, the leading developer of mathematical computing software for engineers and scientists, has a curriculum development programme in which Mondragon Unibertsitatea will participate. The aim of the initiative will be to develop material for working on Model-based Design of Energy Systems.

MathWorks’ curriculum development programme supports universities in the preparation of teaching material. As part of this programme, a grant has been awarded to Mondragon Unibertsitatea to develop material to support the subjects of the master's degree. In turn, this material will be freely accessible to other entities through MathWorks.

Among other subjects, the new master's degree in Smart Energy Systems will work on knowledge linked to Model-based Design. In this field, MATLAB & Simulink software has become a reference in teaching, business, and research.

Specifically, MathWorks will help to pay for the annual scholarship of one student and the supervision by the master's teachers. At the end of the collaboration, there will be a collection of new tools to impart knowledge related to model-based systems development and their validation in MATLAB & Simulink environment.
