Students, lecturers and service staff from Mondragon University visit the Gipuzkoa Food Bank

This morning, a delegation of students, teachers and service staff visited the Oiartzun warehouse of the Gipuzkoa Food Bank.

This morning, a delegation of students, teaching staff and service personnel from Mondragon University visited the Gipuzkoa Food Bank warehouse in Oiartzun.

The group was welcomed by the president of the Gipuzkoa Food Bank, Belén Méndez de Vigo, and other members of the association from both the Oiartzun and Bergara headquarters.

This visit is part of the Great Food Drive campaign that will take place in November with the image of Mondragon University.

In addition to receiving detailed information about the activities of the Gipuzkoa Food Bank, its management, collaborations and alliances, and the families that benefit from its work, the visit programme also included discussions on topics such as the importance of solidarity and volunteer work, among others. 

The visit ended with a tour of the warehouse itself, where visitors were able to see the arrival of vans with products and the preparation of the batches that are distributed throughout the province.

Now it is time to focus on the Great Food Drive in November, for which volunteers are needed to cover as many supermarkets and shops as possible participating in this initiative, which will take place on 7 and 8 November. To do so, simply register on the Gipuzkoa Food Bank website.
