The Vocational Training students from Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa are continuing to work on entrepreneurship despite the situation with the pandemic. In this context, on 4 February, the second edition of the Ikasenpresa fair took place (online), in which 23 groups of students who are currently studying the 5 upper level cycles taught at the centre took part. The aim of the fair is to make known the business idea worked on and developed by the students as part of the Business and Creative Initiative subject.

Furthermore, students also had the opportunity to participate in the virtual fair organised by Tknika as part of the Ikasenpresa project, where students from the 100 Vocational Training centres in the Basque Country streamed presentations of their projects. The entire event could be followed liver on the Tknika channel on YouTube.

Wide diversity of projects

At the Ikasenpresa fair some interesting business ideas were presented, such as the conversion of traditional bikes to electric bikes, the adaptation of the temperature of one part of a double mattress to avoid possible arguments between couples, production of customised moulds, a solution to avoid people with hearing difficulties having accidents in car parks, a system that distributes the load of backpacks and a home automation service for homes.

The people who visited the fair had the opportunity of choosing the most interesting project and the winner was the Moldes C.M.C. business project, which proposed a solution for the design and construction of customised moulds for industry. The promotors of the project were Iker Carrasco, Mikel Martínez and Jon Castillo, all students from the Design and Mechanical Manufacturing Training Cycle.
