Título del proyecto: Intrusion detection in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) Desde: 2007 hasta: 2008 Áreas: Seguridad Tema: Intrusion detection Investigadores participantes: Roberto Uribeetxeberria Entidades participantes: : Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD, MGEP Entidad financiadora: Beca Lonardo Publicaciones relacionadas: xxxxxx Abstract: The different modules of the intrusion detection system (IDS) are integrated into the Open Source simulation framework ns-2 to be able to assess the developed algorithms and architecture in a real size network. The modules will also be adopted for the existing testbed in a second step. The existing framework already contains a defined API to access the different available data sources of the simulation environment ns-2 as well as the testbed. These data sources include classical network and traffic data, trust models, topography information and peripheral sensor data (GPS). The goal of the project is to extend an existing system for the aggregation and assessment of different types of sensor data with new modules to allow the detection of attacks in mobile ad-hoc-networks. The major focus is on the evaluation of local routing information and of information that related to the localization of mobile nodes such as GPS positions and radio signal characteristics. The system can work on data which is provided by the network simulation environment ns-2 as well as real data provided by a testbed environment.
