Título del proyecto: Extending a framework for automated discovery of brand-piracy on the Internet Desde: 2006 hasta: 2007 Áreas: Seguridad Tema: xxxxxx Investigadores participantes: Roberto Uribeetxeberria Entidades participantes: Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD, MGEP Entidad financiadora: Beca Lonardo Publicaciones relacionadas: xxxxxx Abstract: The project is part of the research and development activities at Fraunhofer IGD in the area of content security. Recently we developed a framework which allows to scan websites for brand-piracy. These algorithms check web content over several steps including a semantic analysis. The framework is structured as a component based system. Each process step is realized as a self-contained component. One of the main advantages of the framework is that all components can be arranged in an investigation specific matter. This allows to use the investigation tool in many different scenarios and applications. The goal of the project is to extend the existing framework for new functionalities. These functionalities are manyfold and depend on the current project status. First, the department developed some new algorithms for fingerprinting of images. They allow to identify an image by certain characteristics. Second, the performance of the database has to be improved. Third, the software needs some new functionalities such as sending status report by email automatically or allow to download results as csv file. This project involves a throughout analysis of the provided data structures, implementation of new components, fit components into the existing framework, develop appropriate user interfaces and evaluate the efficiency of the new functionality. Database programming in Java and SQL is a major part of this project.
