Carlos Gomez obtained a degree in telecommunication engineering at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Bilbao. He has the CISCO professional certifications CCNA and CCAI. From January 1999 until September 2000, he worked at the Department of Information and Telecommunication at Robotiker research center in Zamudio, where he worked on researching projects related to monitoring and control of industrial processes. Since September 2000, he belongs to the Computing department of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa (Mondragon Unibertsitatea) where he teaches Telematics in the degrees of Computing and Telecommunication Engineering. He has been involved in several research projects, such as ECOTIC (Evaluation and Certification of Competence in ICT, INTEK 2000-2003), SEMTEK (Advanced Research in Theory Agents applied to the adaptation of the semantic context, SAIOTEK 2005-2006)and SEMTEK II (SAIOTEK 2006-2007). He is a lecturer in the postgraduate programme of the University and takes part in the Telematics Master. He also teaches in advanced courses such as the "Curso Experto en Configuración de Redes Cisco CCNA" (www.mondragon.edu/ccna).
