The main goal of this area is related to the dynamic electronic content adaptation. Innovation in the development and explotation of the digital content is seeked and new standards of the semantic web are used for that purpose. Related topics are:
  • Developing, by means of semantic web (ontologies), the capacity of reasoning and inference of the software of embedded systems.
  • Study and use of content analysis, estructuration and tagging techniques. This includes aspects such as: identification of ontologies and semantic metadata as well as the use of standards of the semantic web like XML, RDF, OWL and others related to multimedia conted like SMIL.
  • Identify the user context to guide the content adaptation process. This includes the study of the user requirements and the characteristics of the individual device that gives access to the content such as PC, mobile, PDA or others.
  • Develop content adaptation techniques based on content selectio rules, decission making tables, content filters and others.
  • Applying web 2.0 technologies to Ambient Intelligence (AmI)
