Curso Socializing- Cultivating Relationships

At the end of the course the participants will be able to:

o Attend and guide the visitors to the company: invite and respond to invitations, suggest and receive suggestions. Be able to participate in a general conversation with natural manners.
o Communicate more effectively whether they are host, guest or just colleagues. They will be able to relax when using English and to acquire the necessary language and communication skills to express their thoughts and feelings appropriately.
o Socialize with colleagues in an informal atmosphere. Start and keep conversations related to general of professional topics.

o First contacts: welcoming a visitor, introductions, opening small talk and first meetings.

o Getting to know each other: effective questions and answer techniques, asking and responding to questions and developing conversations.

o More Contacts: everyday meetings, inclusive behaviour, greetings, requests, favors and building rapport.

o Arrangements: understanding and responding to invitations, inviting, accepting, declining, offering, refusing and making arrangements.

o Arriving for dinner: hosting, time, dress, gifts, thanking, offering and responding, welcoming and entertaining guests.

o Dinner: complimenting, showing appreciation, offering opinions, comments and stimulating discussion.

o After work: choosing, structuring and developing topics of conversation.

o Farewells: whishing farewell, leaving, reinforcing contacts and saying goodbye.

o This course is designed for anyone who needs English to socialize in a professional context. o People who are in charge of welcoming clients and visitors to the company as well as meeting new people in general. o People who want to feel more comfortable and confident with first and new contacts (trade fairs, networking events, conferences, business trips, host and guest ¿) Socializing is an important skill for those involved in international business. Being able to socialize with your colleagues, partners, and clients can play a big part in building effective social relationships and get the best out of every contact. The participants, through a wide variety of engaging exercises and stimulating role plays will develop their socializing skills. They will practice real life situations interacting in an easy environment with the aim of getting aware of the most efficient strategies to establish successful first contacts as well as giving the best first impression which will lead to profitable business relationships.
