International students

MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA opens its doors to all foreign students who wish to participate in the courses on offer, and offers them a range of services and a welcome structure to ensure they get the most out of their stay.

Support is given in finding the right accommodation, for Basque and Spanish courses for foreign students in exchange programmes, extracurricular, sports and cultural activities, which help their integration within our region, as well as the each faculty’s infrastructures, which provide a suitable environment for study (library, access to computers, etc.).

The linguistic context of MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA is that of a bilingual environment with Basque and Spanish as the university’s main languages. In addition, the courses offered in English are also progressively increasing in line with the university’s objective to offer trilingual education.

Formalities

Students interested in studying at MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA must be aware of certain administrative formalities, which differ according to the student’s country-place of origin.

1. Students-citizens of countries that do not belong to the EEA (European Economic Association: European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Switzerland):

  • Require a student visa, which is usually valid for 3 months, and is issued by the Consulate of the Spanish Embassy in the student’s country of residence. The documentation to be presented must be requested at the Consulate, and normally includes a medical certificate, passport, letter of admission from our University, guarantee of solvency for the stay scheduled in Spain.   • Once the student arrives in Spain, if they intend to remain in the country for a period of more than the three months guaranteed by the permit they must apply for a Student Resident’s Permit, at the nearest Police Station.
  • Private medical insurance or E-111 / E-128 forms if the country of origin is Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Norway or Morocco, as there is a Social Security agreement between these countries and Spain.
  • Certificate of solvency
  • Accident and Civil Responsibility Insurance
  • 4 photographs

2. Students who are citizens of the EEA: Do not require a permit, but must present the following:

  • Copy of a valid Passport or National Identity Document
  • Certificate of financial solvency
  • Medical Insurance or European Health Card (E-111 or E-128 form)
  • Accident and Civil Responsibility Insurance.
  • 4 photographs
