What makes us different

  • Working in a team, 'Team Learning': One of the main tools of learning is the team. By working in a team, you gain the skills and competences of the degree by practical experience. The role of the teacher changes radically, becoming that of a team coach, as if for a sports team.
  • Finnish educational model (Team Academy). Adopted by 17 universities all over the world. Dialogue, reading, action and self-development are the four pillars of this model.
  • Real-life enterprises, 'Team Company': You will create your own cooperative enterprise within the group. The key to personal development and of this course is the continuous interaction with the real world: you will create a working company, with real customers, working on real projects.
  • International experience: Students are global citizens who travel all over the world. All students will stay at the Team Academy of Finland, for a period of two months during the first year. In addition, students will travel abroad to learn ('learning journeys'). In the second year this will be to the US; in the third year to China, India, Brazil or Mexico.

Learning model

Methodology

The LEINN methodology is based on the development of skills and competences more than in the acquisition of knowledge. These are the key elements:

    Finnish Educational Model

The origin of the method is the Team Academy of Finland. Working with this entrepreneurship unit for over 15 years, we have developed a range of tools, including: Responsible self-management, Creativity, Communication skills Entrepreneur teams, Community values, and more. You will experience Finnish learning methods. You will use the Finnish method.

International Experience. You'll travel to become a global citizen. You'll travel to become a global citizen

All students will stay at the Team Academy of Finland for two months during the 1st year. In addition, students will travel to learn (learning journeys). In the second year this will be to the US and in the third year to an emerging country (China, India, Brazil, Mexico, or other).

    Learning within a Team

One of the main tools of learning is the team. Within theteam you learn the degree skills and competences by using them in practice. The role of the teacher is more that of a team coach, as in a sports team, advising, questioning, passing on experience, monitoring performance, etc.

    Real-life enterprises

As a team, you will create your own company (Team Cooperative). The key to personal development and entrepreneurship is the constant interaction with the real world: creating a working company, working with real customers and with real projects. The students are the main players, creating, as a team, their own companies; the coach provides support and aids the process rather than direct it.

Passion and enthusiasm, the student as the main player

You will discover that learning can be an exciting challenge. You will discover that learning can be a challenge full of passion. Our starting point is the passion and desire that students experience as they learn to deliver projects within a team, with the same passion that they put into their sporting or cultural teams.

    Learning model

    Work Experience and Projects

      Thesis

During the second semester of the fourth year, students will do a Thesis. There are three ways to do this: new business creation projects, intra-entrepreneurship projects, and Erasmus projects for young entrepreneurs. Any of these can be done abroad.

      Specialised internships

During the fourth year, students can work within a company in activities related to their specialisation. The student will be involved in an internal company project in the area of innovation management or the development of new products or business. The company could be local or based abroad.

          Learning model

          Mobility and Internationalisation

          Stays abroad

All degree students in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation will undertake stays abroad:

          • Learning journeys . During the first semester of the 1st year all students spend two months in Finland where they will become familiar with Team Academy. During the first semester of the 2nd year, they will visit Silicon Valley in the US to get to know and become involved with the more innovative enterprises. And in the first semester of the 3rd year, they will stay in an emerging nation (or alternatively the BRICM nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China and Mexico) to also understand the more innovative enterprises there.
          • Thesis: During the second semester of the fourth year students can also develop their project abroad.
          • Specialised internships in enterprises: During the fourth year students may become involved in the work of a local or foreign company.

IQAS - INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM

The EHEA framework and the new changes introduced in Spanish regulations establish that universities must guarantee, through their actions, the fulfilment of objectives related to the tuition given, always in search of continuous improvement.

For this reason, the Faculty of Business Studies of MONDRAGON UNIVERSITY has designed its own system of Internal Quality Assurance in accordance with the principles and guidelines of the AUDIT programme of NAQAA (National Agency of Quality Assessment and Accreditation).
