MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA is deeply-rooted in the Basque Country and is committed to the Basque language and culture, whilst, at the same time, being open to the changes demanded by the 21st century society.
Our educational model is based on values such as innovation, humanism, solidarity and cooperation.
By establishing a non-profit cooperative, we make it easier for students to economically access our University and for them to finance their own studies. The idea is to enable everyone who wants to take part in our educational model to do so, regardless of their economic situation.
The mainstay of our educational offer is the practical orientation of the studies; the knowledge and skills taught can be used directly in a real professional activity.

Close Relationship with Business
The balanced relationship between academic education and in-company training is one of our mainstays.
We are part of the MCC, a corporation formed by 200 companies, which means that the students come into direct contact with the needs of the working world throughout their university education.
This direct link with companies guarantees high percentages for the placement of our graduates.
Work-study rotation. From 2000 to 2005, more than 3,500 students have combined their studies with work in companies.

The Students Participate in Research Projects
MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA places great emphasis on R&D&I tasks. The University holds collaboration agreements with companies and Technology Centres, which enable the students to participate in professional research projects.
In addition, the collaboration between MU, MCC and the General Government has lead to the creation of the Garaia Innovation Pole, a meeting point for Technology Centres, company R&D departments and the University.

Educational Model in tune with Europe
We have developed the Mendeberri Project, which is our own educational model, adapted to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area.
This model has the objective of providing quality education and incorporating within the learning process the development of skills and values that are in increasing demand for professionals.
In short, it aims to take one step further in academic education to ensure that our students are capable of the following:

In addition, it is a trilingual model (Basque, Spanish and English) that promotes the used of Information Technologies and Communication.
